Kathe is the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument Stewardship Coordinator
for SJMA (www.sjma.org),
and is the main point of contact for the Friends of CANM group. She coordinates
volunteers in CANM for the Trail Information Specialists and the Healthy
Lands programs.

Kristie owns "Canyon Trails Ranch" bordering the monument in McElmo Canyon.
She has been doing commercial horseback/wagon/and overnight trips into
the Monument for about 10 years.

Amber was born in Cortez and grew up in McElmo Canyon. She currently works

Dani has resided in Colorado for 26 years, and moved to Montezuma County
7 years ago. She is a Board Member for the Cortez Chamber of Commerce,
Secretary of the Partners Board, and President of the Kokopelli Bike Club.
She first visited this area as a child, but it wasn't until the early
90's, when she and her husband began coming to the Four Corners area to
hike, mountain bike, and 4-wheel, that she really became aware of the
breathtaking beauty, diversity, and history that comprised this region.

Tim has been a member of the local archaeological community for over 25
years and possesses a working knowledge of the cultural history and landscape.
Chuck

Chuck is a frequent visitor to the Monument to hike and bike with friends,
and to impress our frequent guests with the beauty and history of the
Place. He was appointed to the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument
Advisory Committee at the inception of the Committee, and continues to
serve in that capacity. He and his wife, MB, occupy an old dry-land farm
in Montezuma County that was started by his grandfather in the early 1900s.

Elaine is a native of Colorado and has lived in this area since she was
8 years old. She enjoys being in the out of doors, including both mountains
and desert. Since she and her husband are not able to hike or ride horse
back they have taken up ATV riding in order to enjoy the outdoors. On
the steering committee she represents the ATV riders.

Susan spent seventeen years in Southwest Colorado working in land use
planning, community development and resource management. She has worked
for the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, National Park Service, U.S. Bureau
of Reclamation and La Plata County, as well as several small businesses.
Moving to Central Virginia, Susan was a planner for the City of Charlottesville
and Albemarle County, where she focused on long range and neighborhood
planning. In 2004 she returned to the area, and now lives in McElmo Canyon
near the Sand Canyon trail.
